Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Pretty windy today.  I wasn’t feeling too swift so just hung around all day.  Mike picked up our Netflix from the office, so I guess we’ll watch that tonight.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another perfect day today.  I headed to Big Pine to get my hair trimmed.  Such a fantastic day, so we headed to Louie’s Backyard and had a couple of drinks on the afterdeck.  The Atlantic side was roiling—the bay side was calm.  People were out there surfing, people with their dogs playing in the surf, and we sat at the bar watching it all.  Left there and had lunch at the Stoned Crab.  The play last night was outstanding.  What creative minds went into this production—the sets, the script, and the incredible actors.  The production won several Tony awards, and we could see why.  It was hilarious.  It was still 81 when we left the theater at 10:15 or so.  So we strolled Duval for a while until Mike’s back said “enough”.  Back home and crashed.  85 today with a beautiful tropical breeze.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another perfect day today.  It was already 82 at 9:30.  Did the laundry and grocery shopping today.  After lunch I sat outside reading and watching the iguanas which are still hanging around.  Gerald stopped by.  We’re all going to the Waterfront Theater tonight to see the play “39 Steps”—a comedy about the Hitchcock movie of the same name. Us and the Canadians.  Hope it’s good.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another perfect 10 day today.  Some clouds moved in, but just as quickly moved out.  An iguana wandered into our site and hung out in the mangroves for a while.  Then another showed up.  Guess the “hunters” didn’t kill all of them.  We had the usual Monday.  Charlie stopped by early with Maple.  Then Mike went over for donuts.  I did the cleaning.  After Mike went off to play shoes in the afternoon, I sat outside and finished my Randy Wayne White book.  Thought about going for a walk but didn’t want to have to take another shower.  Over to the KOA for happy hour tonight. I don’t think Mike will be playing shoes much any more.  His back bothers him too much (sigh).

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Today dawned bright and sunny.  And it was already 76 when we drove to Key West at 9:40!  Went to Azur for breakfast.  On the way back we stopped and picked up a couple of things.  We were sitting outside reading and Ray stopped by with his dog. Munch.  About an hour later Ray’s wife, Jo, came looking for them both.  Sat around outside until about 4:00 and then I went in and cooked up some chili.  Which makes no sense at all since it’s about 84 out there.  It’ll taste good though.  We’ve had such great weather down here so far this year. Loving it!

 We saw this beautiful property on White just off Flagler.  A huge property with lots of lush vegetation.

This beautiful Spanish architecture style home sits on a huge corner lot behind a beautiful wood gate and fence.

The front of the house is covered in vines and boasts a beautiful, arched wooden front door.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Started out really nasty looking this morning.  Jumped in the shower, but no water pressure in the park again, so I couldn’t wash my hair.  So, the sky is covered with dark grey clouds, I couldn’t wash my hair, so I said to Mike…”let’s go to Galley Grill for breakfast.”  So off we went—really early too.  It was only 9:20 when we walked out the door.  Mike had to pick up a prescription from Walgreens that he’d ordered anyway.  Stopped at the Galley Grill and took the last parking spot.  This is not looking good I thought.  Anyway the place was slammed.  There’s a marathon of sorts happening and there are runners all along Highway 1, along with way stations, emergency vehicles, etc.  We waited for a table and finally decided to leave and just go to Walgreens.  Turns out they didn’t have Mike’s script ready yet, so back we go.  Tried Mangrove Mama’s for breakfast.  That was slammed as well, but we were at least able to get a table and something to drink.  Things are looking up I thought. Then sat there for 45 minutes and when we asked our waitress the status of our order, she looked through her book and admitted, red-faced, that she had never turned in the order.  So we left and went home and wolfed down some lunch.  Some days you should just not venture out anywhere.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another beautiful warm and sultry day.  Everything was wet this morning.  Charlie stopped by with Maple and I gave her a treat.  Johanne and I walked and on the way back I met Mike at Mangrove Mama’s for breakfast.  The owner has a really neat dog—Bailey.  She’s a golden retriever.  Stopped to say good bye to Esther and Gerald’s daughter, her husband, and their son Etienne. They’re on their way back to Canada. Came back and changed into shorts and relaxed outside for a while.  Clouded up and sprinkled a little.  But the clouds blew away revealing a beautiful blue sky.

Met Mike here for breakfast on the way back from our walk.  Seems funny to come in here and not get a drink of some kind.
