Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Got up, took my shower, dressed, made my smoothie and was sitting outside doing my crossword puzzle before 8:00.  Mike didn’t even wake up with all that commotion.  Rained a little bit early afternoon. So we watched our Netflix Movie, “50/50”.  Pretty good. Walked up and down the road again.  Mike is all ensconced to watch the SEC championship football game between Missouri and Auburn.  Mid-80s again today.  Go Tigers!

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Had breakfast at the Galley Grill on Summerland this morning.  It’s great to get out again!  After that I stopped at the salon I frequented last winter and made an appointment to get my hair cut.  Then we hit Walgreens and CVS.  Back to our park and I walked to the end of our loop and back twice.  Used my trekking poles which helped a lot.  Sat outside most of the day.  Left-overs for dinner tonight.  Mid-80s again today.

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Beautiful day again today.  We had the fifth wheel washed, waxed, and detailed today.  They started at 9:00 and left around 4:00.  They do such a good job.  While they were working we walked down the road a bit.  Did pretty well I guess.  After they left we went to Mangrove Mama’s for some dinner.  Mike had a lobster Reuben and I had salsa encrusted tilapia.  Really good.  There’s a lot of activity down here this year.  They’re putting in new sewer pipes all along The Overseas Highway, and they’re continuing to expand the bike paths.  From our park we will be able to bike all the way to Key West very soon.  And they’ve put in some new bike paths going the other way as well.  And they do such a good job—separate bike-only bridges over the channels, boardwalks through the mangroves, and lots of landscaping.  Really first class.  Hopefully, I’ll be able to ride my bike in a month or so.  Mid-80s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another gorgeous day here today.  I sat outside reading and relaxing in my lounge chair while Mike went out and did the grocery shopping and the laundry.  I could get used to this (not really). Next week we’ll do it together. Chuck made turkey soup and is serving it up over at the clubhouse tonight.  I’m not really up for it.  By the time I hobbled over there and all. Mike’s going to go and bring some back. Chuck makes the best soup.  Mid-80s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Nice and warm this morning.  After I got dressed I sat outside for a while enjoying the warmth.  I spotted Jerry walking around the lake and told him to come in and sit for a minute.  He’s doing well.  Sandy also stopped by.  Went to the orthopedic doctor at 1:30 and I got sprung from my leg brace.  I was told three weeks ago when I was fitted with the brace to absolutely not bend it.  After getting it removed I was told to absolutely start bending it.  I am bending it but it doesn’t feel really swift.  Very wobbly.  81 here today.  

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  The lake was beautiful this morning—just like glass.  Not a ripple.  Another gorgeous day.  Richard and Ray stopped over for a while.  I hobbled outside to visit with them for a while.  We cooked up our eggs, sausage and biscuits for dinner tonight.  Tasted pretty good.  Mid-70s today.

Lazy Lakes RV Resort, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Well, today would have been our original arrival date here in the Keys, had I not had the misfortune to fracture my kneecap.  Hurried down so I could see an orthopedic surgeon.  It was nice getting down here early, although I couldn’t do anything but sit around with my leg up.  A beautiful day today—sunny and nice under a beautiful blue sky devoid of clouds.  Sat outside reading my book and gazing up at the sky.  Trying to decide whether or not to go get a pizza, or cook up some breakfast stuff we’ve been hauling around with us for a while.  The Grands biscuits are about to blow I think.  Upper 70s today.
