Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:   Another chilly and blustery day today.  Sunny though.  Everyone pretty much staying in their caves.  Except for Carmen that is.  She’s all dressed up and tooling around in her golf cart.  Nothing keeps her down. Supposed to be 72 today.  Sure doesn’t feel like it with that wind.

You can always find splashes of color around.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Started out really chilly this morning, but warmed up to the low 70s. Mike went over and picked up our Netflix from the office and we watched more episodes of “Homeland.”  After that I walked the Netflix back to put in the mail.  Back is finally feeling better.

Carmen all dressed up and ready to go out on the town.  She's going to be 96 in March, and she seems to be the only healthy one in here.

Thu, Feb 5, 2015:  Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Felt pretty good this morning until I reached over to put something in the hamper and the pain shot up my spine.  Spent the day drugged and lying flat in bed.  It rained pretty much all day.  I’m sure there are a lot of people in here thankful to give their liver a break after the last two nights imbibing.

Wed, Feb 4, 2015:  Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Managed to get Carmen to her doctor appointment today.  Had to take two of Mike’s Tramadol pain killers which made me feel high as a kite.  But at least I didn’t have an episode with my back.  Didn’t go to the KOA last night.  And everyone went out to dinner tonight at Geiger Key which we also missed out on.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Pulled something in my back yesterday, so Mike did the grocery run by himself this morning.  We’ll do the laundry whenever.  I committed to taking Carmen to the doctor tomorrow, so hopefully it will be better by tomorrow afternoon.  One of our maintenance guys is leaving us.  He’s been a fixture here for as long as we’ve been coming down here—11 years now.  He will be missed.  We’re gathering at the KOA with him tonight for cocktails and well wishes.

Good luck, Chuck!  (on the left)

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Well, it went from cool to warm and now sultry.  Even had the AC on today.  It will be short lived though as I hear there’s yet another cold front on its way.  Mike went over for donuts in the morning and shoes in the afternoon.  I actually went over and watched for a bit after I finished the cleaning.  Looking forward to a nice cool vodka/tonic at happy hour tonight.  Mid-80s today.

This guy was hanging out in the mangroves outside our back window.

Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  A nice, warm day today.  We made a run to the grocery store to get something to bring to the Superbowl party today at the clubhouse.  Felt good to sit outside in just shorts and a tee shirt.  Over to the clubhouse at around 4:00.  Martin cooked up a bunch of ribs and everyone brought something to pass.  A great dinner and lots of socializing with friends.  Rooting for the Sea Hawks.  They’re ahead by 3 points right now.  Only 5 minutes left to play.  And the Patriots have the ball (sigh).  Upper 70s today.
