Wed, Feb 3, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another nice day today. Took my smoothie next door to Larry’s and sat with he and John and Sandy for a while. After lunch I went over to play with the band. Then Dave, Amy, Mike and I headed to Marathon for dinner at Lazy Days. Really good meal and a nice sunset. Back home and Dave came over for a Bailey’s or two. Low 80s today with a nice tropical breeze. Does it get any better? I don't think so.

Tue, Feb 2, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Picked up Dave and Amy at 10:00 this morning and headed to Key West. They wanted to do the Conch Tour, so we decided to do it with them since we haven’t done it for about 12 years. A beautiful, warm, breezy day. After the tour we had lunch/dinner at Red Fish/Blue Fish on Front Street. Back home and crashed. Told them to stop by later if they wanted. 81 today and beautiful.

Mon, Feb 1, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Poured down rain sometime during the night. The road in here is partially flooded. But it’s clearing off and looking promising for the rest of the day. Walked the trash over this morning. Dave and Amy not out and about yet. So, back and worked on my crossword puzzle. Mike went up for donuts. While Mike played shoes, Amy and I went to Key West to do the grocery shopping. Before we hit Publix we did a little tour of Old Town. Parked at the Eco Center and walked around a little bit. Then back to the grocery store and got that out of the way. At 4:30 we went over to the KOA for happy hour. The group went over to Fish for dinner. We went to Roosticas. They came over to our site for a nite cap after they walked the dogs. Gave the dogs a treat and we imbibed wine and Bailey’s. A nice day today.

Sun, Jan 31, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  John and Sandy were over at my neighbor Larry’s site next door this morning. So I went over with my smoothie and joined them. Mike is still in bed. He finally stumbled out around 10:00. Larry and the group are heading to the Green Parrot in Key West. We are waiting for our friends to show up. Mid-afternoon we walked over to Mangrove Mama’s and had a couple of drinks. Dave and Amy finally showed up around 6:00. After they got set up we all went to Mangrove Mama’s for dinner. Then sat around our site imbibing. Larry and the group returned just then and Larry joined us. Must go on another wine run. Could rehab be far away? A little cloudy but warm today. Nice.

Sat, Jan 30, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Chilly but sunny today. After lunch we checked out the flea market. Bought some spices and a little cross-body bag for $5. Drove back and Mike dropped me on Johnson Road and I walked back picking up trash on the way. John was on his way back from a walk to the burned out bridge and back (6 miles RT), I found a horseshoe crab on the side of the road and thought it was dead. But John pushed it a little and it moved! So he picked him up and threw him in the water. Hopefully he’ll survive. Haywire at the KOA tonight. I’d love to go. Mike not so much. So, I guess we’ll pass. Our friends, Dave and Amy, arrive tomorrow.  69 today and sunny, but windy.

Fri, Jan 29, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Chilly this morning. I drank my smoothie next door with Larry and Sandy and John who were visiting also. Left to drive to Big Pine and have Douglas cut my hair. He did a great job as usual. Back home and invited Dale and Carolyn over this evening to share some wine and see our pictures. A fun evening.

Thu, Jan 28, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Started out in shorts and a tee shirt this morning. Rained off and on, so no walk today. Decided to go see Star Wars. By then it had cooled down, so we had to put on jeans and sweatshirts. Came out of the show and it had warmed up again. Mike really wanted to see Star Wars before it left the theater. It was okay. Great special effects. Upper 70s and really humid today.
