Wed, Mar 7, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Haven’t posted in a while because I’ve been under the weather with a nasty cold.  Ventured out yesterday afternoon and had some people over for an impromptu happy hour.  Mike and I went to the Galley Grill for breakfast this morning and stopped to pick up a pie for the dinner tonight at the clubhouse.  It’s supposed to be storming right now, but we’ve only gotten a few sprinkles and some dark clouds, but that’s all—so far anyway.  The weather has been great lately, but a cold front is moving through and tomorrow the high is supposed to be 72.  It was 82 today earlier.

Sun, Feb 25, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Met some friends for dinner last night and then went to their house to play Jokers.  A fun night, except he has two cats and Mike is allergic.  Today is another beautiful day.  We fried up the fish Larry gave us along with diced potatoes with peppers and onion and had an early dinner so I could go over to the clubhouse and play Jokers with a bunch of friends.  Not supposed to be as windy tomorrow.  We can only hope.  At least it’s still warm—82 today.

Fri, Feb 23, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Worked on the taxes again this morning, and then we headed to Big Pine for lunch at Pizza Works.  Back home and Jerry and Char invited us over to their site for happy hour at 3:30.  Happy hours are getting earlier and earlier.  We stumbled back home at 6:00 or so.  Low 80s today and still windy.  Sat outside for a while reading, but soon gave up because of the wind.  It is supposed to calm down by the weekend.

Wed, Feb 21, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Another W I N D Y day.  Decided to start working on the taxes instead of waiting until we get home.  So, worked on that most of the day.  Going to the dinner at the clubhouse tonight.  We’re taking a corn casserole.  And I will be so ready for a drink.  Last night we went across the street to Dale and Carolyn’s for an impromptu happy hour. Probably low 80s with a stiff breeze.

Mon, Feb 19, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Mike went over for donuts this morning and I started the laundry.  Had the laundry finished by the time he went back to throw shoes.   Really windy today again.  I think there are even white caps on our lake.  Have a doctor appointment at 4:00 and then we head to the Truman White House for an event, along with our neighbor, Larry, and three others.  Should be fun.  Low 80s today, but it doesn’t feel like it because of the wind.

Sun, Feb 18, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  Awoke this morning to wind and rain, which lasted off and on most of the day.  We went over to the clubhouse at 12:30 for the NASCAR party.  Lots of people and good food and drink.  We took a shrimp platter over.  I didn’t partake of either food or drink.  I’m not a race car fan so didn’t hang around long.  Mike came back and watched the race here in our RV.  And he actually won $20 this year in one of the pools.  I think it warmed up to around 80 in the afternoon after the clouds cleared.  Still windy though.  Oh, and we saw a key deer yesterday on our way down Johnson Road.  They’ve been spotted on the other side of the lake also.

Sat, Feb 17, Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf Key, FL:  We’ve had some really nice weather lately.  Taking advantage of that, we’ve been dining alfresco a lot.  Went to the dentist yesterday and after that stopped at the sandal shop on Stock Island.   Didn’t buy anything.  Today we went to Boondocks for lunch and then were going to stop at the flea market, but ended up coming back to our park.  Sat outside reading for a while.  Dog sat for our neighbor’s two adorable dogs for an hour or so.  Low 80s today.
