Thu, Mar 5, 2020:  H O T again today!  Low 90s again.  Went out early and walked to the activity center and back.  Probably a mile.  When I got back Mike offered to make French toast for breakfast—his new, secret recipe.  And it was delicious.  Sat outside in the shade reading until we had to put the awning away because of the wind.  Came inside, drew all the shades and relaxed.  At 3:00 I walked over to Bill’s to see if they needed me to walk Abbey.  Apparently, someone had already walked her.  Bill had hip replacement surgery a couple of days ago.  And Margie wasn’t there, so when I banged on their door, poor Bill had to get up and come to the door.  Leave it to me (sigh).

Wed, Mar 4, 2020:  H O T!  Pretty sure it was over 90 today.  I went for my walk early and then just relaxed.  Mike took care of some chores and we just kicked back.  Went up to the activity center to check out the baked goods.  Bought a loaf of chocolate zucchini bread and some cookies.  The wind picked up enough that we had to put the awning away.

Mon, Mar 2, 2020:  OMG!  It’s March already.  Only 4 weeks left!  Hope I start feeling better soon.  Mike did the grocery shopping solo today.  I didn’t want to go out in public coughing and hacking like I am.  I started making goulash for dinner.  Mike, wanting to help, diced the onion and proceeded to cut his finger and kept sucking the blood dripping from his hand.  I said.. “What the hell, are you a vampire or something?  Let me get a bandage.”  Now I’m ready to puke and have no desire to eat anything.  Mike went over to the Canadian’s yesterday for their annual Chinese dinner.  He brought home lots of left-overs.  Now we have a bunch of goulash on top of that!  Won’t be cooking for a while.  A nice, warm, breezy day today.  79.

Wed, Feb 26, 2020:  Cold is much worse.  Was up all night coughing.  Just laid around all day.  Needless to say, I’m a hot mess.  And, it’s the last nice day for a while.  There is a woman in here who does all this baking and sells it at the Activity Center on Wednesdays.  Mike went over and bought zucchini bread with blueberries, and three small pies.  The zucchini bread is to die for.  She does this every week.  Think I’d rather get a root canal than do all that baking.  But she must like doing it.  Hope I can sleep tonight.  Upper 80s today.

Mon, Feb 24, 2020:  Another nice day today.  Went for my walk and then we headed to LaBelle to do groceries and laundry.  Happy hour with the Canadians.  Only two more days of warm weather and then the rest of the week it won’t get out of the 60s.  Bummer

Sun, Feb 23, 2020:  Sunny and nice today.  Fighting a cold, so didn’t do much.  Esther and Gerald stopped by on their way to get water.  Watching XFL football right now.  The St. Louis Battlehawks are playing the NY guardians.  They’re playing in St. Louis (sold out) and STL is winning.  Yes!  Mid-70s today.

Sat, Feb 22, 2020:  Really cool this morning.  A pretty day though.  We watched the third episode of “Shameless”.  Wouldn’t be bad outside if it wasn’t for the wind.  I have no desire to venture out.  Making enchiladas for dinner tonight.  Low 70s today.
