Tue, Apr 14, 2020:  Day 24 of self-quarantine:  Cold again today, but sunny.  I was scheduled for my infusion this morning, but it was put off until noon.  Got that out of the way by 3:00.  Everyone was in a separate room.  The nurse practitioner prepped me and she kept missing the vein in my hand.  Hurt like hell.  She finally tried another vein and got it.  My hand is still sore.  At least it’s over with until June.

Mon, Apr 13, 2020:  Day 23 of self-quarantine:  Really windy and cool today.  But sunny at least.  Did some cleaning and waited for the gutter helmet guy to show up.  He was supposed to show up between 2 and 5.  He showed up at 5:15.  He showed up with no mask.  But they kept their distance.  People should wear their masks when outside.  Anyway, he fixed it and left.  Only in the 40s today with lots of wind.

Sun, Apr 12, 2020:  Day 22 of self-quarantine:  Happy Easter!  Pretty chilly again today.  Ordered more groceries from Schnucks.  Wouldn’t you know they’ll be delivered the same day the other order from Aldi.  We’ll have groceries out the wazoo.  That’s okay.  Ordered a pizza for contactless delivery.  We’ll see what happens.  50s today.

Sat, Apr 11, 2020:  Day 21 of self-quarantine:  Cold again today—and breezy.  Did the laundry and played spades for a while.  Didn’t venture out at all.  Pork chops, mashed potatoes and a vegetable for dinner tonight.  50s today.

Fri, Apr 10, 2020:  Day 20 of self-quarantine:  Cold again today.  But beautiful and sunny.  A couple of days ago it hit a record of 90.  Now we have freeze warnings.  Ventured out to CVS to pick up my prescription.  A lot of people out and about. Guess they’re not worried about any silly old pandemic.  On the way back home, I stopped to take a picture of some red bud trees in bloom.  Such a pretty day.  Low 50s today.

Thu, Apr 9, 2020:  Day 18 of self-quarantine:  Cold today.  Streamed season 3 of Ozark.  What a great series!  Only watched 2 episodes.  Got a couple of deliveries and had to sanitize everything.  Not much else going on today.  Left-over steaks for dinner.  50s today and windy.

Wed, Apr 8, 2020:  Day 17 of self-quarantine:  Another beautiful day today.  We donned our masks and took the car out to get air in the tires.  Then took a drive down the beautiful Great River Road to Grafton.  All the red buds are in bloom.  Really pretty.  Came back, hung out and had some lunch.  87 today.  Storms tonight.  Steaks, mashed potatoes and a vegetable for dinner tonight.

The new normal.
