Sat, Sep 25, 2021:  St. Louis, MO:  This cute little calico cat takes a nap on our deck most days.  Either she’s supine on my chaise, or curled up in a corner.  She’s not one of the feral cats.  She has nothing to do with them.  She apparently belongs to someone in here.  But I don’t see a collar (flea or otherwise) on her.  That’s troublesome.  A beautiful fall day here in St. Louis.

Mon, Sep 20, 2021: St. Louis, MO: Mike and I enjoyed dinner last night at Aeries Winery with our beautiful daughter, Laura who is celebrating her birthday tomorrow. We were surprised with a beautiful rainbow as an added bonus.

Mon, May 17, 2021:  St. Louis, MO:  Well, we’re empty-nesters now.  The robins’ nest is empty and the sparrows are gone also.  Now it’s time to clean up the deck.

These nests they create are beautiful!

And the sparrows are gone from their little house.

Tue, Apr 13, 2021:  St. Louis, MO:  A robin is building a nest on top of the light on our deck.  Right above my chaise.  Guess I won’t be reading out there for a while.  But we get to see baby robins!  That’s if the feral cats around here don’t get them (sigh).

Mon, Apr 12, 2021:  St. Louis, MO:  After watching the recent Ken Burns documentary on Hemmingway, I wanted to read a couple more of his books.  So I got on the STL County Library web site to reserve them.  They didn’t have either one.  That is sad.  So I bought them from Amazon.  I was able to reserve one of the new Grisham books though.  But no Hemmingway?
