Wagon Trail Resort, Ellison Bay, WI: Another gorgeous day. We went over to the park lounge and worked on the computer for a while. Then we hiked the Mink River trail. A beautiful trail that meandered through old growth birches, pines, and cedars, and the forest floor was covered with ferns waist-high. I love being in the woods. The smells and sounds are wonderful. And the sky was so blue again today. The air seemed to have much more clarity and the colors more vivid. The trail ended at the Mink River estuary. What a beautiful, wild place. Each shore of the river is lined with tall marsh grasses and beautiful water lilies There’s a very rare dragon fly that is only found here in this place. We sat there for a long time enjoying the peace and serenity. A butterfly landed on me and wouldn’t leave. Good luck, right? Hiked back to the truck and then stopped in Ellison Bay for dinner before heading home. Watched three more episodes of the Sopranos. Upper 70s today.

The woods are lovely,

Dark and deep.

But I have promises to keep,

And miles to go before I sleep,

And miles to go before I sleep.
