Lazy Lakes, Sugarloaf Key

Sun, Nov 22, Pine Isle RV Park, Homestead, FL, to Lazy Lakes RV Park, Sugarloaf, FL:  At 4:00 a.m. this morning an alarm started sounding. We haven’t had any sun since we got here, and the batteries were getting low. So, we shut off the inverter and went back to bed. It poured down rain for a while, and as soon as there was a break we went out and hooked up the truck so we would have enough battery power to bring up the jacks, etc., etc. Hung out with our friends for an hour or so and then we said our goodbyes and headed down to the Keys. The weather cleared and we had an uneventful trip down. However, the new site we’re going into that we thought would be really easy to get into wasn’t. To make a long story short, we had to cut down a bush in the site across from us. We finally got it in, but not where we really wanted it. But it will have to do for now.  84 today.

Charlie and Johanne's site in Homestead.

They have a cement patio and another cement pad in back for their gazebo--and a paved driveway for their vehicle.

Sweet Molly.

Sitting in their driveway watching Johanne sweep the patio.
